What is the Difference Between Ring-lock and H Type Scaffolding?

Differences between Ring Scaffolding and H type Scaffolding;

In terms of being a safe scaffolding; We can say that Ring Type Scaffolding and H type Scaffolding systems have the desired qualities.
Both systems are widely preferred and produced in the world. Production of these two types of scaffolding is also available in our country. They are also preferred according to regional habits. Ring and H Scaffolding have similar and different aspects to each other.

Similar Aspects ;

Same type and shape of sheet metal plank (walking platform is used.)
The same type of ladder system is used.
The same type of building anchorage systems are used.
The same type of base plate and adjustment shafts are used.

Different Aspects;

Horizontal spacing in H-type scaffolding is max. 250 cm, while in Ring type scaffolding it is max. 300 cm.
Horizontal pipe diameters are Ø34 mm in H-type scaffold, Ø48 mm in Ring type scaffold.
While diagonal pipe diameters are Ø42 mm in H-type scaffold, they are Ø48 mm in Ring type scaffold.
While vertical carriers are welded in the form of frame in H-type scaffold, vertical carriers are produced in the form of pipes in Ring type scaffold.
In H-type scaffolding, pin system is preferred as the connection type on the frames, while flanges are preferred in Ring scaffolding vertical pipes.
While the verticals rise 200 cm in H-type scaffolding, they rise 300 cm in Ring type scaffolding.
While H-type scaffold horizontal and diagonal pipe ends are drilled by crushing, in Ring type scaffold the ends are welded with dovetails.

Advantages of H scaffolding;

Since the system consists of welded frames, it can be assembled faster.
Horizontal and diagonal pipes are lighter and more practical.
There is no need to use a hammer in assembly.
250 cm long walking platforms are lighter.
It is a more cost-effective system.

Disadvantages of H Type scaffolding;

When the frames are thrown from a height, it may cause miter distortions.
Frames take up more volume during transport.
Horizontal pipes can be bent more easily.

Advantages of Ring Type scaffolding;

It is lighter and more practical because its vertical pipes are not welded.
Vertical and horizontal pipes do not take up much volume during transport.
Since it is not in the form of a frame in case of being thrown from a height to the ground, there is no mould distortion.
More robust horizontal and cross pipes are used.
Since 300cm long walking platforms are used, longer facades can be closed at once.

Disadvantages of ring scaffolding;

A hammer must be used in installation.
300 cm long walking platforms are heavier.
It is a more expensive system.
